Crystal Info

Welcome to our Crystal Info page!

Here is where we post about new crystal and fossil products as well as other general (or random) information we’re excited to share with our customers!

Opals

We carry a variety of both rough and polished opal products. In 2022, we also started offering a selection of opal carvings. Most of our opals are in polished “cabochon” form, as pictured in the photo to the right of Boulder Opals. Boulder Opals from Australia are known for their contrasting mixture of ironstone alongside opal. We also offer a variety of rough opals from Australia, Ethiopia, and Mexico.

Malachite | 2022 Update

Malachite has been popular among collectors for years. Sourced primarily from the Democratic Republic of the Congo, though found elsewhere in the world, malachite is special for its vivid green colors and unique ring-shaped patterns. In the past couple years, the price of malachite has increased! Because of this change, it has also become harder for us to source both polished and rough fibrous malachite material. Visit our “shop” section or contact us for more details on our malachite availability!

Our Mining Experience

As a crystal supplier, we wish we were able to mine all our products personally! However, we work with a wide variety of awesome suppliers from around the world! Every once in a while, we do get an opportunity to visit our suppliers and sometimes do a bit of digging ourselves. The photo on the right is from an Arkansas quartz mine we visited in 2021.
